Clinical Interventions

ORCA group of specialised practitioners come from a range of professional backgrounds with extensive experience in statutory and non-statutory provision. The Senior Registered Consultants all have qualifications in a range of psychotherapy. Due to the required responsive and person centred approach, each are qualified in national approved therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Systemic Family Therapy.

The organisation has a philosophy of returning profits from clinical services directly back into the service in order to offer a service provision at the highest level.

The service receives direct referrals from individuals, responsible clinicians and approved clinicians. The independent role of the therapists offers a confidential and discreet service reflective of the need for people to feel assured that their care and intervention is delivered with a level of assurance and confidence considerate of their privacy and dignity.

The organisational governance structure has been established to ensure compliance with national standards and continues to be open to scrutiny by the professional bodies the therapists are registered with and national bodies in the scrutiny of care delivery. Principles and standards are based on those delivered in the NHS. The service goes further to acknowledge the patient experience required and learning from those that are seen with the service. There is an established process of audit and there are current plans for independent scrutiny to be carried out in line with national standards and from independent patient representative groups.

Given the complex needs of individuals the service aims to offer flexible services that reflect the needs of the individual and their family. Dependant on the required intervention the therapists will jointly, with the patient, decide on clinic based or provision within the home for the intervention and a booking system across the working week which incorporates a service between the hours of 8am and 8pm in the evening.

Dignity is at the forefront of care and the company's values are reflected in this specific area of service provision with a person centred approach to aspects of the care delivery and intervention.
